AutoTURN is used by transportation engineers to analyze road and site design projects including, intersections, emergency vehicle access, or any on/off-street facilities involving vehicle access checks, clearances, and swept path maneuvers. Swept path analysis examines the movement and path of a vehicle to determine the space requirements for vehicle turning maneuvers. Making swept path analysis part of each phase of the design helps avoid mistakes by ensuring designs safely accommodate vehicle movements. The design vehicles that come with AutoTURN are based on set standards and guidelines including AASHTO, and NACTO.
